REDEFINING THE TRADITIONAL DESIGN LANGUAGE

Magma Studio is a brand new spin-off from Kreate 3D where the main focus lies on architecture and interior design. We use innovative technologies such as 3D printing and computational design to create renewing and sustainable design objects. The combination of these two technologies generate organic geometries that are unique.

ELDGOS VASE

The Eldgos Vase, which means eruption in Icelandic, is inspired by volcanic elements. The twisted design and tapering surfaces towards the neck of the vase gives a mesmerizing and relaxing effect.

Inspired by Scandinavian harmonious aesthetics, designed and 3D printed by Magma Design Studio.

DELOITTE CEILING STRUCTURE

We printed almost thousand wooden enzymes for an interior project for Deloitte Antwerp. The wooden enzyme ceiling structure is primarily contributing to the aesthetic experience of the space but also improving accoustic performances.

KVIKA LAMP

The Kvika Lamp, which means magma in Icelandic, is a minimalist lamp designed to add uniqueness and warmth to your interiors. The subtle horizontal printed layers and the wavy organic shape creates a mesmerizing effect to the lampshade, especially when the lightbulb is lit. The lifting structure in earth tone colors must give a serene and calming feeling to its surrounding.

Inspired by Scandinavian harmonious aesthetics, designed and 3D printed by Magma Design Studio.

BIOBASED & MODULAR WALL PANELS

We printed bio-based and circular panels with unique structures. One series of panels is made from bio-degradable wood, while the other series of panels is made from recycled waste flows from the Benelux. The panels will be used in a modular and circular construction kit for research and educational purposes. This modular kit won a Henry Van De Velde award in the category Spaces. Congratulations!

HRAUN SIDE TABLE

Introducing the fully 3D printed Hraun Side Table: where minimalism meets nature’s elegance.

Elevate your interior with the Hraun Side Table, a remarkable fusion of contemporary design and the raw beauty of Iceland’s volcanic landscapes. Inspired by solidified lava and the clean lines of Scandinavian aesthetics, this small yet captivating piece of furniture is a testament to the harmony between modern minimalism and the untamed forces of nature.

With its compact dimensions, the Hraun Side Table is perfect for small living spaces, bedrooms, or as an elegant accent in your lounge area.

SCAPA HOME NOX LAMP

Together with Scap Home we developed a fully 3D printed night table lamp: the Nox Lamp. Sustainability was the key factor in the whole design aspect. In that way the lamp is fully 3D printed in bio-based wood.

THE DESIGN AND PRINTING OF COMPLEX GEOMETRIES

All our interior design objects are completely 3D printed and created by in-house parametric design. Fluent and organic shapes from Magma must give a feeling of inner calmness and serenity to its users and interior.

USING ONLY RECYCLED AND CIRCULAR MATERIALS

We refuse to put more pressure on our already vulnerable and precious planet. That’s why we decided from the very beginning to only work with recycled materials such as plastic food waste, old fishing nets, and biodegradable wood. Some of our creations receive a finishing touch such as circular wood or marble remnants.

CREATING UNIQUENESS

We often wonder how can we implement the fascinating and unique structures and shapes of 3D printing into our homes. We try to rethink traditional interior design objects layer by layer. All of our creations can exceptionally be manufactured with 3D printing. In that way all of our products are unique.
